After those very eventful Oscars this year, it’s time to dial back the major award hype. Now, genre fans have tuned their focus to the upcoming Saturn Awards. Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice nominated for multiple categories in the Saturn Awards!

The Saturn Award

Unfortunately, we can only say “multiple” means two. For DC fans that’s only the “bad news” as David Ayer’s Suicide Squad has been nominated for THREE awards, as well. Including “Best Comic-To-Motion Picture” in which it competes with Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman itself for a Saturn Award.

Here’s a full list of categories that our DC Extended Universe films are nominated in. Our nominees will be bolded!

Our critical underdogs are up against other “genre” films instead of “actual films” (as other award shows would call it). That makes the competition much more fierce! However, this isn’t Zack Snyder’s first time approaching the Saturn Awards. He previously was nominated for “Best Director” for Watchmen and “Best Writing” for 300. Zack Snyder actually won the Saturn Award for “Best Director” for 300 as well!

Do you think he has what it takes to nab a second Saturn Award this year?
